Powerful app. Can do more with it than most other network vendor mobile apps and it's UI is designed very well. My only wish for both the mobile AND web apps both is that logging was more granular and detailed. Not grouped together. ie internet connection was lost multiple times on x date. We have SLAs and need to hold ISPs accountable and we cannot with that kind of logging. But that has nothing to do with this app, it's a company thing I'll be addressing directly with Ubiquiti.

Took me 2 hours to get the U7 Pro Max to work! There is NO documentation on how to set up the AP in the app. How could I have known that in order for the AP to be visible in the app when searching, I need to have the phone and the AP both connected to a tertiary wifi/Lan network?! No indication that you can set it up through Bluetooth, no clear actions for device not found. Why not just default to Bluetooth, like all other smart wifi routers??

App detects device easy enough but why do I need an app to setup a router. After several failed attempts to connect to the internet. (Also tne Wizard is terrible at explaining what you should do) I just plugged it into an existing router and set it up via the wb interface. Far superior than any terrible app. Although Unifi is very cumbersome to setup especially wanting online accounts etc. Rather use docker to setup your own management station or better yet do buy a superior competitor product.
