I've been a fan and subscriber of Storytel for years, but the recent limit to listening speed has severely crippled my ability to use the app. I co-read a lot (paper book with audiobook) and that requires the audio speed to be quite high to match my reading speed. Now I can only listen to audiobooks at 2x speed, which is not nearly enough to do this anymore. It seems like there is no intention to provide this functionality, and I will have to find an alternative.

I love the app. I usually use it for audiobooks while doing house chores. One suggestion to the makers of the app: it'd be great if it was possible to sort the books in my bookshelf according to their genres, like novels, science, biography, diy, social science etc. It'd be easier to choose what to read next. Because usually I know what kind of book I want to listen next, but it's hard to find it in my endless bookshelf.

I really like the subscription service, the library seems big and diverse enough in the Netherlands. I would always welcome a bigger library, especially in English titles, but there's enough there for now at least. I do think the app could be better. The mechanism for rewinding and finding a position in an audiobook could be a lot better it is especially annoying for very long books. And alternatively or also it would be nice to have more options for skipping back and forwards longer instances. And it seems that it doesn't want me to skip back or forwards in quick succession, which I would find very useful to be able to do.
