I love that Planta helps me to track my plant watering and fertilizer schedule. The team even offered 1:1 advice when I couldn't figure out why one of my plants wasn't doing well. The single most frustrating problem with the app is that it doesn't let you change all your plant settings. The app shows red warning indicators that drainage X and lighting Y are not ideal, but it doesn't allow me to change the settings for X and Y to fix this #facepalm

Idea and basic functionality is great. Help your brain remember when to water which of your many plants. Automatic intervals supposedly determined by location and weather are hit and miss but useful for beginners. What's really annoying, though, is that the app does seems to operate without local caching. This means, any action you take only works if you have a connection at that very moment. If you have a brief disconnect from WiFi, it immediately doesn't work (and this is quite common eg when youre in the garden, where you are probably using the app). And when it fails, it often fails silently. Almost every day it tells me im late with watering the plants i watered yesterday, simply because for some reason it couldn't send my ticking off those plants to the server. This is honestly very frustrating at this point.

Great app for info and watering reminders. I think the layout can be a bit more simplified to make it easier, like organizing plants in areas (front yard, backyard, room, living room, inside, outside, etc.) and adjusting the location they are placed. I moved so I was getting alerts for weather notices from the past location but the weather here is different so I struggled to change it/find the setting. other than that, I like it 👌🏽
