About this app

Puffin Web Browser is now subscription-based. In addition to the existing $1/month subscription, two new low-cost prepaid subscriptions are available at $0.25/week and $0.05/day. The exact price is subject to the tax, exchange rate, and Google's pricing policy in each country. Puffin's monthly postpaid subscription offers Android's standard 7-day free trial. Puffin's short-term prepaid subscriptions allow users to pay for Puffin only when they need to use Puffin.

🚀 Wicked Fast: With our cloud servers handling even the most resource-demanding web pages effortlessly, websites can load at incredible speeds.

🔒 Cloud Protection: All Internet traffic from the app to our servers is end-to-end encrypted, therefore making it safe to use public, non-secure Wi-Fi.

🎥 Flash Support: We constantly provide improvements to our servers, and the ability to view Flash content through the cloud.

💰 Data Savings: Puffin uses a proprietary compression algorithm to transmit web data to your device, and can save up to 80% of your bandwidth on regular web browsing. (Please note that streaming Flash content or videos requires more bandwidth than normal usage.)

Features:
• Unparalleled loading speeds
• Fastest JavaScript engine
• Ad Blocker Included
• Mobile & Desktop modes for a full web experience
• Download to cloud capabilities (up to 1GB in size per file)
• Theater mode for Flash videos and games
• Virtual Trackpad & Gamepad

Great for playing flash games on your mobile device, but it traded performance for speed. It's very fast but it has a slow reaction time. The flash graphics are also low quality, but it isn't that bad that it makes things unlookable at. When a website needs flash it gives an ad to continue. This review is for both the PC version as the mobile version. If you're on PC, this isn't worth your time. If you're on mobile it can be, but mostly only for flash games (for me it's just as fast as Chrome).

I bought the 1-day subscription just to use Puffin’s keyboard and mouse support for websites like Maximo. But the experience was terrible. Every time I try to open Maximo or similar pages, a “Reconnect to Server” popup appears, and the app starts lagging badly. Nothing loads properly. Completely unusable, even with paid access. Waste of time and money.

Maximo is a Sony PlayStation 2 game released in 2001. Over the past 20+ years, there have been many attempts to pirate the game to other platforms. What is the name or URL of the pirating website you use? Maximo is a standalone game, not a web game.

It told me not to leave puffin browser while it was uploading my bookmarks, but it couldn't finish the job in 15 minutes, I did not wait any longer. This is supposed to be instantaneous. I uninstalled it. Steer clear of this one! QR codes are an unnecessary risk as you can not see what you are granting to the sender. I will stick with browsers that allow me to use OPML to transfer bookmarks.

Puffin leverages the bookmark sync for bookmark export/import. Bookmark sync is an automatic bookmark export/import process that eliminates the need for manual export to OPML and manual import from OPML. It appears that Puffin automates too much and doesn't pay enough attention to users' manual needs.
